Join us at the community garden for lunch (BYOL), free play, fun and fellowship!
WHAT: It's simple! We just want to offer safe a space for families to enjoy our community garden together and fellowship. We'll have simple items like boxes, shovels, bubbles, water, and lots of dirt for the children to explore safely and engage in free play. If you want to bring a lunch, we have picnic tables.
WHEN: Community Play Days will be right after our gardening classes for now, but if in demand, we may continue them after the gardening series concludes.
HOW TO DRESS: We recommend dressing in layers as it could be cold or hot in March/April. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.
Masks are REQUIRED except for children under age 2. We will social distance as much as possible.
Please bring water and snacks for you and your family.
COST: Donations are being accepted in any amount you want to contribute and are donated directly to the Brooklyn Heights Community Garden. Your contributions may be used to increase access to gardening education classes, provide fresh food to neighbors, and purchase materials for the garden.
Please register for each date you plan to attend so we can keep the numbers limited to 10 families for safety.
